Kevin Forbush is an attorney licensed in Colorado, Texas, Utah, Wyoming and California. He is also a CPA actively licensed in Colorado. His combination of legal and accounting experience makes Kevin uniquely qualified to counsel clients on the complex issues where the law, taxes and financial matters intersect. Kevin focuses his practice on estate planning, tax planning, asset protection and business planning.
Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting) from California State University, San Bernardino, in 1982 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1988. Kevin retired in 2006 as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force Reserves after 24 years of active-duty and reserve service. He served most of his military career as a member of the Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.
He is currently a member of the Colorado State Bar, the Trust and Estates Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Colorado Springs Financial Planning Association (FPA). Kevin was selected as the 2009 Best Lawyer by the Colorado Springs Independent. He is a member of the Laureate Circle for Wealth Advisors. He is also a member of Springs Best, a networking group of premier local business owners.
Kevin lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife and best friend of 22 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Morgan, Ph.D. Kevin and Beth have four children and four grandchildren: Vance (married to Maggie) is the Funding Coordinator for Forbush Legal; Vance and Maggie have two children, Danny and Kaylee; Jason (married to Anne) is an Air Force Captain Medical Doctor finishing his residency in Pediatrics at Walter Reed Medical Hospital. Jason and Anne have two daughters, Paige, age two, and Brooke born in February 2016. Christian (Chris), age 21, is a Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy; and daughter, Caroline, age 16, a sophomore at Cheyenne Mountain High School. Kevin & Beth enjoy all the outdoor opportunities that living on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains has to offer.
