After returning home to Colorado from spending several years in the DC area, Westin Smiley brought a background in estate planning, executive assistance, and software engineering to the firm. He now utilizes his skills and experience in his roles as Kevin Forbush's paralegal and executive assistant, firm process designer, and resident tech support. With the goal of lifelong continuing education, Westin is always seeking learning opportunities both on and off the job. A current student at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law, he is on-track to earn his JD and become a licensed attorney in the coming years. He loves serving both Forbush Legal's staff and clients, and he is excited to help even more as his knowledge and legal skills continue to develop!

Outside of work, Westin is an avid home-chef who loves to prepare unique, global cuisines (when he can find the time to experiment) as well as classic American staples. He likes to study foreign languages, and is also an entertainment fanatic! Westin loves to keep up with and discuss the newest video games, board games, movies, and tv shows. He has been together with his high school sweetheart, Ray, for the last 11 years, married for 6, and is looking forward to many more years to come. They've made wonderful memories across the globe since they met while both living in Saudi Arabia, and they would love to travel together again after Westin has completed school.
