Jake joined Forbush Legal in 2025 after graduating from Texas Tech University School of Law. His Juris Doctor holds a Business Law distinction. He competed nationally on Texas Tech’s Negotiation Team and was selected to join the Law School’s Tax Law Clinic where he worked with clients to resolve IRS tax disputes.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Minor in Economics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. After graduation, Jake was employed as a Tax Specialist with a top-tier accounting firm primarily serving expatriate clientele living and working abroad.

 

Jake is partnered with CCAV VITA, an IRS tax assistance program, as a certified volunteer to provide pro bono tax preparation and review for low-income filers. He also served as a mentor for CAPS, Community Action Poverty Simulation, educating others about the challenges faced by individuals living in poverty.

 

When he is not at work, Jake enjoys traveling, music, running, and hiking with his Australian Shepherd, Cyrus.
